Yard waste including leaves and grass clippings can be taken to the Drop Off site from 8:00 PM - 12:00 PM from April through November on alternating Wednesdays and Saturdays (every Saturday in October and November). A permit is required. Bring proof of residency to Village Hall to purchase an annual permit for $20. Replacement permits will cost $20.
Brush Chipping and Collection
Limbs from residential yard work are collected and chipped every other Monday during the same week that recyclables are picked up, weather permitting.
Limbs may be no larger than 4" in diameter and must be neatly stacked with cut ends facing the curb. Stacks must not obstruct the sidewalk. Stops are limited to 15 minutes. Leaves, grass clippings, or yard waste will not be collected or chipped. These may be brought to the drop off site during scheduled hours.
Open burning of leaves, brush, stumps, clean wood, and other vegetative debris is allowed within the Village of Waterford between the hours of Noon and 7:00 pm. Grass clippings are not included in the list of allowable yard waste for burning. Grass clippings must be recycled and can be taken to the Yard Waste Drop Off site during collection hours. Burning sites must be tended at all times. In the event of weather or other conditions that may affect safe burning, the fire chief may issue a burning ban.
